I attended Maternidad La Luz, a free-standing birth center in El Paso, Texas. MLL is a MEAC Accredited Midwifery School offering a unique setting on the US/ Mexico border. I successfully completed the advanced three-year program and became an Arizona Licensed Midwife in October 2004 and opened Sunrise Midwifery. I am also a lactation consultant with advanced training in the area of breastfeeding and human lactation.

 

I’ve lived in Arizona for most of my life. I have four sons and seven grandchildren, all who live in the valley. I enjoy spending time with my family and am blessed to have everyone here. My hobbies include sewing, pattern design, fiber spinning, and travel. I love babies and everything about being a midwife. I’m truly living my dream. Midwifery is a blessing and I’m grateful for all the joy it has brought to my life.

Meg became a Licensed Midwife in 2014 and has been assisting with births since 2012. She is also a Childbirth Educator and a Lactation Counselor. Meg is the wife of a firefighter and mother to three energetic teenagers. In her spare time Meg enjoys cooking, traveling and time with family. Meg is an active member of the LDS Church.

Ashley is a Birth Assistant and Doula with Sunrise Midwifery. She is also a Certified Lamaze Educator providing childbirth classes to our clients as well as the community. She is an herbalist, certified yoga and mediation instructor. She is a passionate educator and an award- winning entrepreneur with a creative soul. When not attending births, she enjoys crafting, cooking, hiking and family time with her husband and rambunctious two little boys.
